We live in the area but stayed overnight to enjoy the band on a Saturday night. Our room was fine. I believe it has changed for the better since the last reviews. They have bands in the bar a couple nights a week and it might be a good idea to inquire about this if you do not want to be close to the noise. We booked a king, non-smoking and we had a good experience. The room and bathroom was clean and coffeepot worked!

Stayed there on a Friday night and the noise from the bar was ridiculous! It kept up till after midnight and then we had to hear everyone leaving, yelling, cars reving up. This is certainly not a family hotel. We also saw the same half dead bugs talked about in a previous review.

You get what you pay for. I stayed with my kids. Any problems they were willing to work with us. The pool was great and all my family came to visit all the time with no problems.
When you stay in Pekin there are very few hotels, especially if you want outdoor pool for kids. The place used to be a Holiday Inn for years and then was Ramada Inn. too bad it was let go some but it served its purpose.

Upon checking into this hotel we were a little dismayed by the exterior appearance. It looked old, dingy and dark They had advertised themselves online as being Pekin's only full service hotel. But in fact, their restaurant had gone out of business, and they had a very poor excuse for an exercise room. When we entered our room the first thing I saw was a wolf spider in the curtains. There were three dead roaches on the floor of the bathroom and some sort of dead bug on it's back in the tub. The room had obviously been sprayed for bugs and you could smell the chemicals. I pulled the sheets back on the bed and there was a hair on the sheets. The coffee maker in the room was unusable. We tried just running water through it but it took it over an hour to get the two cups of water out and it spit out all of these pieces of calcium into the coffee pot. The building appeared to date from the 60's and had not been renovated since. We were scheduled to stay there a week. But after the first night we checked out. The staff did not ask how our stay was or why we were checking out early. It probably happens all the time. And they did not thank us either. DO NOT BOTHER WITH THIS PLACE.
