“Don't bother”
1 of 5 stars Reviewed 20 November 2011

They are very rude. Their "free" breakfast I would have tossed out to the birds to eat, as it was days old. They can very angry with me for tossing out stale croissant. Do not plan on this being a meal. The room was ok, but I must have been close to the manager's kitchen, because there was a nasty order of Indian food. Either go across the street, or find another town.

“Lied to regarding cancellation”
1 of 5 stars Reviewed 22 August 2011

Before we booked on-line for a 2-day stay we called the only number provided on screen and talked with the hotel regarding the cancellation policy. We told them we were booking on-line and needed clarification of the policy. We were not sure we understood what was printed with that regard. The lady said that what the cancellation policy on-line meant was that we would be charged if we cancelled within the 24 hour window, not that we would be charged regardless. Well, she lied. I do not know if was intentional, but a service-oriented business should provide not only good physical service, but keep their word!

“Terrible service.”

I have a ton of family that lives in the area, but needed a place to stay over our family Christmas weekend. My 2 sisters, one brother-in-law, my husband, and myself planned to stay in a hotel together. My sister arranged the accommodations for us because they were cheap, and she was told we would have a roll-away bed for the extra person. When we walked into the lobby, the place REEKED of curry, and two small children were playing right inside the doors. It took the owner almost 3 solid minutes to come out to greet us, while we could see him sitting in his living room in the back watching tv. His immediate reaction to seeing the 5 of us standing there was "you can not have 5 people in one room! No parties! You have party, I throw you out!" We told him we were grown adults, not high school kids, and had no intention of having a party, we just needed a place to sleep. He then informed us that there were no roll-away beds left, despite the fact that we were the ONLY car in the parking lot. Hmm. We thought we would figure something out anyway, so we went to the room. The smoke detector was pulled out of the ceiling, the sink dripped, and sheets smelled like the lobby. We immediately got on the phone to other hotels in the area and ended up driving 30 minutes or so to stay at a Holiday Inn in Tuscola, Illinois, where my sister was able to get a military discount, and we ended up spending less than the rat-hole in Paris. My advice would be to drive a little ways to Tuscola, especially if you are familiar with the area. Holiday Inn was magnificent. Super 8 in Paris is a nightmare.

“Breakfast was not edible”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed 13 October 2009

Room was ok; clean and quiet. The complimentary breakfast was inedible. The apple juice & orange juice were watered down and tasted like cold water. The milk was also watered down. The coffee was so strong it could have been there several days. The only baked goods available was four donuts that were so hard, they must have been there several days. Very little choice of anything else, so we went to a cafe to eat.

“Yes, this hotel has a problem with smoke”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed 17 April 2009

The other reviews saying this hotel is smoky are right. It is not true that smoking rooms alternate with non-smoking rooms. It is true that smoke fills the halls and gets into the non-smoking rooms. When I read the first review, I attributed it to a bad night. But the same is true tonight (I am staying there now), despite the fact that there are only about a dozen vehicles parked in the lot.

Otherwise, some of the furniture is worn, but there are no other obvious problems.
