I stayed here one night after hiking at Starved Rock State Park. The hotel was located right off the main street through town with several places nearby for food, and some places in town also delivered. The room was clean and nicely furnished, and the in-room whirlpool was wonderful after hiking! Breakfast was good also, and they had free fresh baked cookies in the afternoon at the front desk. Overall the price was reasonable. I would stay there again.

Not a normal Hampton, furniture is out dated had to change rooms to get a working desk. But was still very small. Need to update.

We stayed here recently while exploring the nearby Starved Rock State Park. The rooms are nicer and a bit cheaper than at the lodge, and the free breakfast is fantastic. We'll certainly be back, since the park is one of the most beautiful hiking places in the Chicago area. Since the motel is right off of I-80, it would be good for people just passing through as well.

Our visit to this Hampton Inn in Ottawa was very pleasant. It was the first night of our 2 week Western roadtrip. No troubles checking in. The room was tidy and clean, as was the pool and spa area. The pool was a tad cool for our taste, but we got used to it. The Cracker Barrel is only a 20-second walk from the hotel lobby. If you have a chance, drive the 2 miles or so into downtown Ottawa. It's a nice old town with a great main steet and a lot of history to. We enjoyed learning about the Lincoln/Douglas debate that took place in Ottawa. We also had some excellent ice cream at Triple J at 101 E. Canal. The free wireless internet worked fine.
