As mentioned, there is construction going on right outside the hotel. It wasn't a big deal except that getting in and out of the parking areas needed a little thought. We were in town for a reunion in Oak Park so this was a good choice. After staying here, I think it might be a good choice for lodging whenever I came to Chicago because it was super easy to catch the Green Line into downtown.
I thought the room was larger than I expected for an older building and the lobby, hallways and room decor were reasonably new and well maintained.
The only odd thing we encountered were Weddings. On Friday night there was a wedding and they used the hallway to our elevator as their aisle so it was a little awkward maneuvering through the wedding guests to get to the elevator. No one seemend to mind but it was strange. The same thing happened Saturday, too.
