Stayed at the Hilton Oak Lawn for three days. Only problem was when I came back to the room one night and the security guard followed me and the wife to our floor acting non nonchalantly as if we couldn't tell he was security. This is why the low rating for service. Lobby is nice and the rooms are clean and spacious. There's a lounge in the lobby that I didn't get a chance to check out, but it sounded like they were having a good time on Saturday night. There are several places to eat nearby and a Walgreen's across the street for your convenience. Chicago's South side and Midway airport are minutes away.

I recently stayed at the Hilton Oaklawn just for leisure upon arriving I noticed how clean the front lobby was and how I was greeted by the front desk clerk, I had a speedy check in once I got in my room I was greatly satisfied the room was excellent very clean and spacious, it was quiet and very relaxing, I attended the bar downstairs which was the 95th street bar I had superior service from the bartending staff they were very attentative to me and my guest. The only thing I didn't like was the pool area it was chilly inside and there was not jacuzzi but overall I give the hotel and the staff 4 stars.

Our room was excellent, very updated and comfy bed. Loved that the typical split bathroom had a spacious vanity outside the tub/toilet area but also had a smaller sink/vanity within the tub area. This was a very short visit to attend a funeral so didn't use any other areas of the hotel except the concierge lounge (Hilton Gold member). The woman working in the lounge was so friendly, apologized that all the snacks etc were gone (it was almost closing time), but even remembered us the next morning when we stopped in for a quick free breakfast which even had fresh berries and melon in December. The location is an older business area but I felt comfortable and safe would stay again if I needed to be in the area!

We stayed only 7 hours at this hotel on our way to Midway Airport but the staff was extremely helpful and kind. They went out of their way for us when we had accidently locked our keys in the rental car and were in a hurry to catch our flight.
