The hotel was a decent hotel but didn't measure up to the Doubletree name in my opinion. The staff was nice enough but they definately didn't go out of their way to extend service. The rooms were clean but not as spacious as other Doubletree's that I've experience. The breakfast buffet was just OK. For some room rates the breakfast is included.....if that is the case go for it....but it wasn't worth $15. Again the hotel was decent but nothing to write home about.

I've stayed here four times in the last year as it's close to my meetings. Stays are fine, complete with warm cookies and bottled water. I do wish it were a touch cleaner in the bathrooms, especially on the walls, doors, switchplates, etc. Staff is always friendly. Check-in and checkout are prompt, seamless. Rooms quiet. Would be nicer if they had foam pillows waiting for me as I always request in advance.

During a recent Chicagoland snowstorm, this hotel offered our company a $59 rate. We took them up on it instead of battling a two hour drive home. It turned into a great stay! The staff was very pleasant & upbeat. The hotel lobby is spacious and lovely. We stayed on the 7th floor (top). The hallways were clean and wide. The room was pleasantly appointed and clean. Ample enough space. Typical closet space. At first the bed felt too soft but it was perfect for sleeping. Large flat screen tv with movie rentals available. Bathroom was clean and nice. They provided you with Crabtree & Evelyn products. The wood paneling on the lower part of the sink was worn but nothing outrageous. Coffee maker in the room with complimentary Wolfgang Puck coffee and various teas. No refrigerator or microwave. The hotel offers free shuttle service to nearby businesses. We dined nearby and noticed the hotel's shuttle van drove by a few time during our dinner to drop off & pick up hotel guests. It was a very quiet hotel during the night. Checkout was a breeze on the room's televsion. We would stay here again.

I stayed at the Doubletree Oakbrook earlier this week. It is a beautiful hotel which is why I still gave it 3 points. But my room with two double beds had 8 pillow between the two beds. You would think that was a good thing. But 4 of the pillows were visibly dirty. Hair , snot and even a very clear footprint on one of them. That grossed me out so bad I couldn't trust that anything else was clean and did not sleep comfortably. I wonder what their pillowcase changing policy is when they have that many pillows.
