I like Residence Inns for their usual amenities (kitchenette, business area, etc) but I am rating this place because of the great service the staff offered. They were very accomodating to several requests I made. Also my agent had booked the wrong dates which had led to my reservation being cancelled for a no-show - the week had packed nights but the staff monitored cancellations on a daily basis to ensure I had a spot and helped me keep the same room for the entire stay.
The room was clean and comfortable. I saw another reviewer say breakfast was just bagels but when I went early Dec 2011 they had hash browns, eggs, pancakes, cereal, parfaits, etc (i.e a full breakfast) which tasted pretty decent too. The OJ was watery though.
The location is good - easy to drive to several business areas, O'Hare, downtown, etc. and it has a LOT of great shopping and dining options.
I would stay here again.
My one irritation was how hard it was to find. There is a sign on Jorie Blvd which says Residence Inn but there are no clear signs as to where one should turn to actually get there. It is all the way to the back of the complex - again no signs on the way. Both me and my colleague - who got there separately - drove around for a while before we found it.
