This was the first time tripadvisor.com reviews have let us down. There's a real clash between reality and the positive reviews here. Based on them, and the very reasonable price, we went ahead and booked a $79 room for a final price after AARP discount of around $71.

In fairness, the staff does their best but they don't have much to work with. The room was quiet and clean, but the bed marginally comfortable. We didn't realize any hotel still allowed smoking - a deal-breaker for us - but this one does and it's evident as soon as you walk in the door.

Pros: Location (right in O'Fallon with dining and shopping nearby)

Cons: Property is badly in need of updating; allows smoking and smells it, even in the non-smoking wing; bed wasn't that comfortable.

Bottom line: there are just too many alternatives nearby (new brand-name properties) to recommend this hotel. We planned a two-night stay but checked out after one and moved to another hotel. Even if you have to pay a little more, in our opinion you'll be glad you did.

This was our second stay at this Quality Inn and what we enjoyed about it had not changed. Service was great, friendly, accomodating staff. Free breakfasts were great. Indoor pool was greatly enjoyed by a number of family members. Rooms clean and beds comfortable! All in all, very good experience.

Is a very clean hotel with a friendly staff. It is a little dated but kept fresh.

Clean, comfortable place to stay. Appreciated staff, including giving us a great recommendation for barbeque food! Room was clean and comfortable. We would stay here again.
