Our 1st time at a Drury Inn, and it was a very pleasant experience. There were 3 couples traveling together and all agree it was an excellent place to stay. Highlights:
1a) CLEAN CLEAN CLEAN!!!!!!!!! (as in spotless)
1) 5:30 manager's reception with various light food (that differs each evening) - think hot dogs, chili, heavy nachos, mac & cheese. Good for a light dinner, especially for kids. Also soft drinks and a nice selection of adult beverages)
2) Very nice breakfast with real (as opposed to microwaved) scrambled eggs, sausage patties, french toast, make-your-own waffles, real oatmeal (not packets).
3) 24/7 fresh coffee in the breakfast area.
4) BIG well-appointed breakfast area (not waiting in line for a place to eat!!!!)
5) Very nicely appointed rooms (marble bathrooms, fridge, microwave) with very good mattresses.
6) Nice pool & hot tub (we did not use)
7) Exceptionally friendly and helpful staff and management (manager was around an among the guests a lot of the time.)
8) Across street for the 54th Street Bar & Grill - an excellent regional chain restaurant (Think Chilis, TGI Friday, Ruby Tuesday - only much better.) and DO TRY the potato soup!
Price is very competitive with Hampton, Holiday Inn Express, etc and the experience was generally better (though we like both of these.)
