As another guest implied this is not a Doubletree. Even so comparing it to similar hotels, Baymont Inn (never saw a suite) is comfortable and reasonable. (I booked from the Baymont Inns website and got a discounted rate. This was the first good thing.) Baymont Inn is an average hotel, but I experienced nothing that would cause me not to stay again. The room was cleaned every day (and I left out at different times of the day during my stay) without anyone knocking on the day asking me if I wanted service. This was a given. The only time I smelled smoke was outside of the building...and even this was limited. As for the aroma of the hotel itself and the rooms...nothing to make me gag...and nothing that was unbearable. (It wasn't a "after a summer's rain scent", but it was nowhere near a cow's pasture either. Getting on the elevator was interesting...especially after the construction/utility workers cleaned up! LOL) The water pressure was great, albeit, it did take the hot water a little longer to warm, but when it did, it was hot! (I do not count this as a negative; just a statement of fact.) The continental breakfast consisted of French toast, bagels, wheat toast, cereal, waffles, fruit, saugage and biscuits, juices, milk, tea, and coffee. There may have been a couple of other items, but this is basically it. The only thing negative I will say is that it would have been nice to have scrambled eggs, but I resolved this issue with the French toast! LOL Coffee was available throughout the day, and the microwave was too. (I like my coffee steaming. LOL) The hotel staff was friendly and exhibited excellent customer service. The pool is inside, which was nice for those who used it, but I'm glad I stayed on the 3rd floor. :-) Baymont Inn is conveniently located right off of the I-88; and yes, it was a little cumbersome getting to it because it is located on the service road not the main street, but my visit was a multi-day visit so I quickly got accustomed to "the entrance". However, better signage may help with this issue.
Overall, I really enjoyed my stay and will stay again. Baymont Inn & Suites in North Aurora did for me what I needed it to do: provide a reasonably priced accommodation that was conveniently located to where I needed to be, and provided a free breakfast! LOL Other restaurants and fast food places are within a short driving distance. OH...and the Chicago Premium Outlet is less than 2(?) miles away. (From the southern USA: think Tanger Outlet). Ya gotta love it! :-)
