I stayed at the Edgebrook in August, 2000. We flew into Midway and my plan was to stay at a motel near the airport. Then I got a look at the motels near Midway----in a word, scary! We drove around for three hours---in rush hour traffic---trying to find a cheap,decent motel. I was nearing total nervous exhaustion. Then I spotted the Edgebrook. The rooms are very basic (no remote for the tv) and kind of shabby (the paint was peeling). But my room was clean, there were no ***** living on the property and I slept undisturbed all through the night. In case I haven't made it clear, this is a motel for BUDGET travelers. They charged me about fifty bucks and I thought the place was a great value .
