This hotel has been totally redone! The "Pub" is the place to be on Thursday nights. Fun, fun fun. From "twisted trivia" to fantastic service by Ray's crew, this place cant be beat! Since its rather new the word is just getting out. The entire staff goes the "extra mile" to please the customers. Katfist, doing twisted trivia" is a real crowd pleaser. He knows how to entertain and bring the entire place together. He is a real pro and enjoys what he's doing! We haven't had this much fun in years. It's not just for "kids". All ages are getting to know the "Pub" and really enjoying it. You don't feel out of place no matter what your age. The food and drinks are the best. I can't wait until next week. Ray (the manager) does a fantastic job of making everyone feel welcome. If you're ever near Morris, this is the place to be! Thursdays at the Pub are total FUN. Come see for yourself. If you live anywhere in the area, you owe it to yourself to come see "The Pub" You'll be hooked.
The motto "come in a stranger - leave as a friend" is really true. They have other entertainment, live bands etc. but I haven't gotten that far yet. I'm sure you can call and get any further info. Their # is 815-942-4200 "FANTASTIC"

I stayed at this hotel for a 9 month project. After the rennovations finnish it was like a brand new hotel. Very clean rooms with everything new in them. Each room has a Rolling chair, desk, a small chair with foot stool and a very comfortable new bed. Definite recommender.

From the outside, my wife saw the Quality Inn and gave it a thumbs down. But I saw the sign that said "all newly renovated rooms" and I decided to take a chance. It worked out great. Rooms are all new, and tastefully done. Only drawbacks were the bath tub, which was clean, but old, and the fact that few people stay there so the breakfast in the morning is essentially non-existent (some muffins at the front desk).

I stayed three nights at the HI Morris while traveling on business.

It was a fine hotel - needs a serious makeover, but I had a good experience.

The staff were professional and courteous. I called down several times the first night to ask questions and they were all handled professionally. When I called to ask for a replacement lightbulb and some shaving cream at 11 PM, it was delivered to my door within two minutes.

I had the breakfast buffet (not included) which was fine. Nothing special.

The rooms were clean and had the necessary amenities (cable, free wireless internet with good speed, iron and ironing board, operable heater). The decor was really dated, beds were average comfort. I needed to print something and their printer had some serious feed problems, so I left without printing my document.

This is a good hotel for someone who needs the basics - but don't pay a premium to get a room here.
