We spent one night here in September, 2011 along with another couple (family members), so we had two rooms. On the good side: free wi-fi, comfortable beds, and acceptably clean room. On the down side: no screen in window so we could not leave the window open at night; upon check-in we were charged a higher price than quoted (we were told when we made the reservation that the price quoted would not match the confirmation email, but a note would be put in our reservation; since on arrival we did not have anything in writing, we were forced to pay a substantially higher price for both rooms), although there is a big no smoking sign at the entrance the downstairs hallway reeked of cigarette smoke (surprisingly, it did not permeate our ground floor room). Otherwise, the staff was very helpful and this is an ok place to stay if you don't plan to spend much time in the room.

A girlfriend and I recently stayed one night at this hotel during our road trip to the Chicago area. Our room was spotlessly clean and the queen size beds were super comfortable. Loved the fact that it had free wifi, too. A continental breakfast was included. Even though it was on a main road, noise was never a problem. If I were ever in the area again, I would stay at this hotel.

Just wanted to update on the conditions of this hotel. We were there Easter weekend. It is still very clean, beds are good, nice management (dang I should remember the guy's name). Of course no pool (like the other hotel down the street) but half the price.

We were just there on Friday and Saturday night (October 2nd & 3rd). As soon as we walked in the little lobby, the manager (he is not the owner-I asked) welcomed me and said "I know you". He was helpful in helping us find this one town that we were looking at. We had a one bed on the lower level (I got to choose). I think they updated the pillows because they aren't flat anymore. I did open the window one night since it was kind of warm in the room and didn't think the air would run much since it was cool outside. Anyway didn't notice until the next day that the screen had a big gap and that spider that was sitting there could have got in. I closed the window for the next night. It was pretty quiet except of course when people started getting up in the morning and walking on the upper floor above our room. Everything seemed clean to me.
