We stayed there twice passing through on our way from MN to AL. We chose that hotel for our trip south and it was so nice that we booked it again for our trip back North. Clean, nicely appointed, good location near the highway but not noisy. Plenty of food to choose from in the area -- altho avoid the Applebee's next door - we were certainly not impressed with the staff or food, but I digress. The Fairfield was great - comfy and perfect for our needs. We were a bit concerned when we got the room next to the elevator on our return trip but we didn't hear a thing .. all around great place to stay.

I stayed in this hotel on business based on previous reviews on this site. It was a very pleasant stay. The happy hour in the evening is a nice touch. The rooms were typical Fairfield by Marriot quality and very clean. I didn't have much interaction with the staff but the ones I met were very friendly. There is a good barbeque restaurant within walking distance next to the hotel.

We stayed at the Fairfied Inn in Marion as we were in town for our grandson's wedding. We used Marriott rewards points for our stay as rooms in Marion were a bit pricey. It was homecoming weekend at Southern Illinois Univ in nearby Carbondale, so that may have been a factor in the room prices.

The Fairfield was perfect for our stay.The Staff was very friendly and accomodating. The decor in the lobby and rooms was very bright and cheery. The rooms were well appointed and very clean. Although the room was small, it was adequate and met our needs. Each room has a microwave and refrigerator, so that was a HUGE plus for us. There was also a new LG flat screen TV. as well as complimentary WiFi. There is a computer and printer in the lobby, which was very much appreciated as I had to print a reading for the wedding.

The hotel is in a great location...very close to restaurants and shopping. Our family ate at the 17th St Bar and Grill, which is within walking distance of the Fairfield. Although a bit noisy, they had great service and food.

I would highly recommend the Fairfield to other travelers and we would definitely stay here again when in Marion.

Wonderful rooms - clean, updated, quiet. Bed is fantastic. This does not look like a budget hotel room. The hotel has recently been remodeled and it shows (in a great way).

Staff are great. They seem to truely care about the quality of someone's stay.

Location is near Highway 57, easy to get to. Restaurants nearby.

There is a pool. Don't expect much. It's small. But warm.
