“Good location but disgusting carpets and insects galore”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed 29 July 2009

The value of the place cannot be faulted for long term stays- we got about $1000 for the month. But the rooms (we stayed in several) had carpet that caused our toddler's feet to turn black in 5 mins. The rest of the time we wore flip flops but then every time you go onto any of the tiling the dirt leaves black marks on that! We complained to the front desk and they just shrugged and told my husband that we should wear slippers -nice!
The people on the front desk in the mornings but the late afternoon shift is very rude if you 'interupt' her. In our room on the first floor -Ants appeared from nowhere all the time and there is around 30 dead woodlice behind the chest of drawers -never mind live ones climbing the walls at night.

“Pretty nice!”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 9 June 2009

This is no luxury hotel by any means, but I still enjoyed my stay. The outside of the hotel was very nice. There's a nice big pond with geese and ducks always around it.

The room was clean, but not spotless. There was a little stain on the carpet and one on the chair. The shower had two tiny spots of mold on the wall. There was soap, but no shampoo in the room. I stayed for a week and the room was not cleaned each day. I was told this at check-in and I actually prefer this to having a maid come in each day when I travel alone, so this was no problem. The air conditioning worked well, and had a nice thermostat on the wall to control it.

My room had a queen sized bed and was of a decent size. The kitchenette had a cook top with two electric burners, a microwave oven, a full sized fridge, a toaster, a coffee pot and a sink. There was also an ironing board and iron and a hair dryer. The microwave and refrigerator were very clean. There was also a complete place setting for two (plates, bowls, forks, spoons), two pans, a big spoon, can opener and a strainer. No spatula or dish soap was provided.

The furniture in the room was a chair with an ottoman, a desk with a computer chair, a four drawer dresser that the TV (25") sat on and a bar type area with two chairs in the kitchenette.

The TV channels included Showtime, Showtime2 and Showtime extreme which was nice. The staff was really friendly and said "good morning" to me each day as I passed to go to my conference.

The hotel is located right across the street from a shopping center with a theater and is in a nice neighborhood. I did not feel afraid walking to and from the movies alone at night. All in all it was a nice place to stay and I would stay again.

“Better than I expected--cheap, lots of amenities, secure”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed 29 March 2009

I pricelined this hotel for 30 dollars. After reading the reviews here, I was a little frightened it would be extremely gross. But when I pulled up I was surprised that everything looked very new. The building is very secure, requiring carded entry. I called ahead and said I'd be arriving late, which they told me would be no problem. Because of the key carded entry I had to call someone to come down and she didn't seem overjoyed about that. That's why I rated their service "eh."

It was reasonably clean--the kitchen and fridge were actually really clean. The carpet seemed a little old by clean.

The kitchen was really large. The photos look exactly like what my room looked like,

The fridge and heater ran kind of loud. I don't know if this was just my room or all of them. It didn't bother me, but it might someone else.

It is conveniently across the street from the mall.

“Great Location”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed 8 July 2008

Spent 3 nights here over a long weekend. The rooms were large and had plenty of storage space. The accomodations were pretty basic other than having the kitchenette. The room itself seemed to be clean, but the dishes in the cabinets were sticky and dirty. The best thing about this place is the location. It is very close to many highways and the tollway as well as across the street from Yorktown mall. I was able to find plenty of good places to eat in the area.

“They have cleaned up their act.”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 4 February 2008

We read the TA reviews from 2006 and 2007 and were quite anxious after having booked this motel room on Priceline. But we were very pleasantly surprised. The lobby was bright, clean and cheery; the staff was friendly and helpful -- in fact they called our room to ask if there was anything we needed. Most importantly, the room was big and clean. Bathroom and kitchen were very tidy and spotless. Bed linens were clean. It looked like the carpet was fairly new and the walls had been recently painted. We had a very pleasant stay.
