I have stayed in this hotel several times, and each time immediately notice the friendly greeting and check-in, which then carries over to all employees I see during the stay. Very nice. the 2nd thing I notice is the nicely arranged lobby are, with a fireplqce in the dining are, welcoming on a winter's evening! If you are planning on a 2BR suite, be warned...they are smaller than most, no dining table, only a 2 burner stove, and a tiny dishwasher. No problem for us (2 friends, who wanted their own bed and bath, but like having the living room for hanging out, and the frig for drinks and snacks). But if you are looking for more of a family living area, this hotel will not work as well as many other residence hotels in which I have stayed.
Another odd thing is that there is only one entrance...so if you have a room at the end of the hall, you cannot come in a side entrance...there isn't one. At first this location appears to be in the boonies, but go a mile or so in any direction and you will find great restaurants and all kinds of shopping.. And EZ on off the highway. All in all - I will trade off a smaller room for a super friendly staff, a clean property, and good food close by.
PS - you really need a car, this is NOT a walkable location!

We just returned from a 5 night stay at this hotel for my son's graduation from Navy training and I would rate this hotel a 4. The staff here was, at least in my opinion, one of the best and one of the most friendly I have dealt with in a long time. Everyone from front office through house keeping. The breakfast Monday thu Friday was excellent, the weekend a little less so. The 5:00 PM snacks were good sometimes and sometimes not so good, but they certainly tried. Cocktails were beer and wine, which was fine. The hotel is older and shows it's age in some areas, but once again the staff makes up for a lot of that. There was the ability to get food delivered from outside of the hotel, so that was a good thing.

All in all, a good hotel, simple and within an easy drive to downtown Chicago, the Navy Recuriting Station and a major mall with dining options. Be sure to ask for the dicount rate if your are going for Navy graduation. Saves a lot of money.

We stayed here for Navy Graduation. It is approx. 12 miles from the base (rtc). The drive is easy since this hotel is located by the toll road. The staff greater us and told our son how proud they were, for becoming a sailor.

The room had a lot of space for us to visit. The dinning area was comfortable if you have more people. I recommend this hotel.

After a long flight, I hustled from O'Hare to the Homewood Suites just North of the airport. I arrived 15 minutes after dinner closed out and asked if anything was left. The front staff went and checked, coming back saying the kitchen staff had just emptied everything into the trash. Hungry and not interested in trekking out again to drive to a restaurant miles away, I finished check-in and went to my room. A few minutes later the phone rang. Arthur, the other front desk staffmember, said he was in the kitchen and did I mind having wings and rolls for dinner! What a customer service Champion! I said sure, but you don't have to do that, he said it was his pleasure. Great job, Homewood Suites Lincolnshire! The room and bed was extremely comfortable (as usual) and I had a relaxing business trip. Thanks again!
