Stayed here a few years ago for 10 days and recalled a nice charming perfectly located little hotel.
This time we came in March. The room was well proportioned and the decor very similar. But the carpets were worn and generally everything seemed worn and outdated. The toilet was not cleaned and the bell boy bringing our luggage up had to call for someone to come and clean (toilet open and full of someone else's..........).
We had to call one extra time before they arrived.
The room was ok but definitely would not suffer from a deep cleaning. It was quite dusty everywhere and the sound from the heating pipes were also overwhelming at night.
The reservations manager is totally incompetent. We also were trying to book another stay and had called and emailed her numerous times. At our arrival she eventually turned up, after several attempts and her quote was ridiculous. Basically she was offering a room at a minimal discount for 3+ months but with the condition we had to move out if other guests would arrive. I heard from another family that it had nothing to do with us she just doesn't follow up with the clients/guests and she doesn't understand the value of clients willing to book rooms for longer periods.
Breakfast buffet was a little more miserable than what I recalled but the waiter was so attentive and they quickly made something more to our liking from the menu.
Met with friends in the bar and it is a fun place to be. Noticed they have sushi and would like to try that once.
3 stars for good attentive service and food in the restaurant. Hotel rooms needs cleaning and a rehab. Price does not go in hand with the quality of the rooms.
