Had a little glitch getting checked in. Seems we booked through Expedia (by accident) and was promised an adjoining room. When we got there they knew nothing about it. To give us what was promised, they upgraded us (at no extra charge) to a larger king room so that we could have the adjoining room with 2 queens as we needed. Everything was very very clean and well taken care of. It's about 5 - 10 minutes from Six Flags so it works out well. Rooms were very quiet, bed was hard but comfortable. Pool was small, but very nice and clean. Our 2 kids were the only ones in it, so no problem there. We didn't get the breakfast as it was $10.95 a person but it looked very good with a lot of variety. The coffee was free which was great for us. We will stay here again for sure on our next Six Flags trip, we were very happy with everything.

Thank you very much for making time to share your experience. As an occasional traveler myself, I know how upsetting any suprises can be when checking into a hotel while away from home. Our team at the Hilton Garden Inn Lake Forest/Mettawa is passionate about genuinely serving our guests. Even in a case like this where the error was no fault of our own, we want nothing more than to create a swift resolution and take care of you just as we'd want to be taken care of ourselves. I'm proud to hear our team was able to do just that and that you were very pleased with everything from cleanliness to amenities to location.
