“absolutely the worst hotel ive ever stayed at”

Well all of the negative reviews on this site were all spot on. The wall paper is peeling throughout the entire room
the internet did not work all week long, the bathroom was dirty, The pool area was closed all week long, the front desk employees were anything but helpfull. The room smelled sour. How does a hotel run out of cofee? for the rooms i mean"
they advertise eggs on the Continental breakfast but they were out. Hair in the bathroom on the floor and the toilet was dirty. I would have went to the wyndgate if my company would have allowed it and i had prepayed. All in all was a very unpleasant stay
however the sports bar across the Parking lot "Heros West" was very awesome

On behalf of the hotel, I would like to extend my sincerest apology for your stay here. I know as a guest your experience would of upset me as well. We purchased a new heater for our pool and had some problems at installation but it is now open. We are aware of our wallpaper issue and are working on that as well. I'm sorry we were out of eggs and coffee also but I have since purchased. I have talked to the front desk and housekeeping about the additional issues. “No Problems with our stay”

We stayed at the Ramada for an event in town over Memorial Day weekend. Checked in on Friday and checked out Monday morning with no problems at all with this hotel. There is a sports bar "Hero's West" in the same parking lot, a McDonalds across the street and a 7-11 one parking lot away that we were able to walk to. Room was clean and no problems at all with our stay.

“Never again..”

After reading the reviews for this hotel, I wondered what it would be like when we checked in. Being that the lastest review was quite a while ago, I thought maybe the hotel had improved. Those reviews were spot on! This hotel was terrible. We checked in at 7:00pm. I had requested a king room when I made the reservation and was given 2 doubles. As my husband went downstair to see about another room, I decided to take a look around at the room that was given to us. The beds were not made very well, so I then opened the bathroom door. There were dirty towels on the floor and feminine hygiene product wrappers on the floor and in the trash. Clearly the room had not been cleaned. They ended up giving us a room 2 doors down that had a king bed, but again, had not been cleaned. There were no rooms left, so we had to wait for them to clean it. While they were cleaning, I decided to iron my clothes for the evening, as we were supposed to be meeting friends in the lobby at 7:30pm (it was now 7:40pm). As I am ironing my white skirt, brown water leaks out of the iron...all over my skirt. The housekeeper saw this an told me they would get me a new iron right away. Ummm, how about a new skirt?! They gave me $20 off my hotel stay. (Half of what my skirt cost to buy). The front desk girls were nice enough and the manager did apologized, but it was not enough for me to ever come back. The only good thing about the hotel was that is across the parking lot from a very fun sports bar that we could walk to and laugh about our stay!

“Nightmare, very disappointed”

What a nightmare stay. I have stayed here before, but this was rediculous. My husband and children and I planned to suprise my Mom and other family members for New Year's Day, so we reserved a room online at this place. The website has not posted that the pool is under renovations...The ceiling above the hot tub collapsed. I really wish it would have been posted on Ramada's site. Next, the continental breakfast, very nice, except when some things ran out, there was no one around to restock. The girl at the front desk was not around from 8:45 - 9:30 when we were having breakfast. quite a few guests were ringing the bell, and no one showed up. I understand it was New Years Day, but shouldn't the management have someone onstaff when guests would be checking out??? And yes, Check out. I had my husband check out because I was loading the kids in the van. The front desk clerk told him she took $15.00 off our stay, from 99.00 to 84.95. He felt this was fair and told me about it as we were traveling back home. Well, she did nothing of the sort, I booked the room online for the 84.95. I really hate the fact that I did not check out myself, but he had the cash, I had the kids. Being lied to really p*sses me off.
I will never stay here again, the broken pool can't be helped, (a line or two on the web page would have been nice) but the service was horrible. I cannot believe I gave this place a nice review before!!!!!!!

I'm so sorry in the very delayed response to your stay but please allow me to change your experience of our hotel back to positive. I did not work here during that time, but I heard about how the ceiling above the spa/pool collapsed. Of course, that has been since fixed. I'm sorry the hotel staff service was terrible, I've replaced some individuals on the desk that were not helpful to guests with friendly personalities. “Hairs, hairs, everywhere”

There were several hairs of different types on the bathroom floor and tub. The microwave was dirty. There were crumbs on the floor. A co-worker had cigarette burn holes in his comforter. I would look for somewhere else to stay in Joliet.
