1. We found a bedbug scurrying across the bathroom floor. Upon killing it, found it was full of blood. It had been feeding.

2. The couch and top sheet in the room smelled of cigarettes.

3. The entire hotel, lobby and hallways, smelled musty and kind of gross.

4. The sheets didn't fully cover the bed, we could see the unsightly box spring.

5. There's a good amount of bird poop on the outside of the window.

6. Breakfast is skimpy -- no donuts.

7. A damaged piece of carpeting in the hallway outside our room was repaired, but poorly.

8. The blankets were thin and scratchy.

9. They couldn't program our door key properly. Coming back to the room on the second day of our stay, we found the key didn't work in the door. I had to go back to the clerk and ask him to reprogram it so we could get back in.

10. Internet access, though free, is slow.

11. No complimentary shampoo, and our room was missing its "Do not disturb" sign.

I've been in Super 8s before, and I've usually been satisfied. This was definitely not one of those experiences. This hotel was disturbing in its overall dinginess. I would not recommend it for any stay in Joliet.

I have stayed at the Super 8 off of I-80 and Larkin in Joliet quite a few times. I have always been impressed with the early check in, the cleanliness of the rroms, the rates and excellent service. I would recommend this hotel to anyone who is looking for quality on a budget! Recently renovated.

Stayed one night at this hotel, and it was an excellent value for the money. Paid a total of $64 (with tax) through Expedia for a nonsmoking room with a king bed, and it was clean, quiet and spacious. The TV picture was a bit fuzzy but not unbearable, and most of the other things in the room, including the hairdryer, looked new. It also had some amenities I wasn't expecting for that price, like free high-speed wireless.

The service was vey helpful. She helped us find the hotel when we called after getting lost, and then she insisted on helping us carry our luggage up the stairs when she noticed my husband had an injured foot.

Would definitely stay here again!
