The end of January we wanted to spend the night at Harrahs Casino/Hotel in Joliet IL with friends that were staying there from Omaha NE. We called and said we were not sure if we wanted to spend the night (depending on the hour) but if we did were they booked up?
No problem just go to the desk they said so we took an overnight bag just in case. On the way (an hours drive) we talked about it and decided to get the room.
Upon arrival I explained that I had called and would like a room since they said it was possible.
The young lady was non too pleased and said that they were full and she "hated when they do that without checking with us first". Who "they" were is still a mystery as I called the number listed and they answered the phone as Harrah's Joliet.
I muttered that if we had known we would not have come and could have met somewhere closer. She went into the back while we pondered what we would do if she could not accomodate us. Our friends said they had 2 queens and we could double up with them on the 10th floor if we had to.
Luckily she came out and said they only had 2 rooms left and our would be a handicap room if that wasn't a problem (6th floor). We didn't mind and it was done.
The room was quite large with 2 queen beds. The bath was equipped with bars for handicapped and a phone near the toilet. There was a doorbell which did not ring but a light would blink. Non of this pertained to us but I feel its worth mentioning if anyone needs help.
The beds were simply wonderful. We both said that it was the best nights sleep we had a quite awhile. I will state that I still don't know what the noise was but it sounded as if it was the heat coming on but after awhile would shut off and of course once we fell asleep we heard nothing.
There is some restaurant construction going on right now so things are up in the air. We did eat breakfast at the restaurant named Mosiac but you'll have to check our restaurant TripAdvisor for that.

...with the excellent service and courtesy of all the staff. The room was truly deluxe, great food in the restaurants and the entire place was spotless. Very comfortable and all for pennies. Special rates on the day we stayed. Much nicer than I expected.

The room was great, got it at a good price, would have like to won some money, but can't expect everything.

Took the amtrak from southern Illinois to Joliet and it was about 1 mile from Harrahs. The check in was great. Hotel was nice and clean. Rooms were very nice. A bigger TV would be a plus. I kept commenting to everyone at how good the staff at the hotel, Casino and Restaurants was. Always got a thank you. Was told many times that they appreciate my business. Bartenders were great.

I would definately recommend this place.
