I saw some terrible reviews about this place but, was quickly turned around when I got here. It was nice, clean, cozy and very quite. I definitely enjoyed my stay @ Candlewood Suites.
My likes:
1. Free washer and dryers
2. There is a 24 hour "grocery" store (honor based). Here you can buy anything from milk, coffee, tea, sandwich, cereal or just a donut.
3. There is a kitchenette with a full fridge, stove and dishwasher (inside the room).
4. Everything is very private and extremely quite and that was important because I'm a New-yorker and I don't get quiet often and the peace and quite was extremely important for me.
Dislikes:
1. I didn't like that my sheets or towels were not changed after being there for 4 nights and 5 days. Eek!!
2. There was smoking allowed inside the hotel. UGH but then again that's all over Chicago. LOL....
3. Everything is clean and "pretty" but, it does all need to be updated just a tad bit for sure.
Over all my husband and I enjoyed our stay for sure. If you want a place close to the city this is not the place for you because it's far from any part of the hustle and bustle of the city area of Chicago. You will need a car to get anywhere buses and trains (Metra or CTA is not close by).
