“Wow!”
1 of 5 stars Reviewed 17 February 2011

I would never ever in my entire life recommend this hotel! I have always stayed at comfort inn and suites. This location is awful! When we checked into the room, we went back to our car to get our luggage and seen a lady who barely had any clothes on come running out of the hotel following a guy screaming at him. Then she went back to the front desk and gave them a handful of ones! It appeared that this hotel is for women who like to "entertain" men! We also had to deal with people screaming in the hallways all throughout the night. Again, it was awful!

“Worst Hotel Stay Ever”
1 of 5 stars Reviewed 26 September 2010

I must say that this place was pretty rough. I booked a King Suite with hot tub. When i walked in the room, it smelled like cigarettes (even though it was a non smoking room). There was no wall from the bathroom to the sleeping quarters so basically if you had a guest in the room that needed to use the bathroom, you could sit on the bed and literally hear them defecating. The front desk clerk was very rude and inconsiderate as I was trying to check in. She was on her cell phone speaking Spanish to her boyfriend (and i know this because I asked if I should come back some other time to check in and she stated "no its just my boyfriend". She talked on her cell phone approximately 5-6 mins while I waited on her to fix her relationship issues via cell phone with her boyfriend. My room was not serviced daily. My coffee pot did not have a handle on it so I had to use wash cloths to pour a cup of coffee. The fitness room consisted of an elliptical machine and a treadmill. Neither one of them worked. The view was ungodly! I had the wonderful view of weeds and the projects. Oh lets not forget the kind gentleman in his boxer shorts working on his boat in the drive way. The breakfast was horrible. Milk was warm, juice was warm, there was never any syrup for the waffles, and the hard boiled eggs had liquid shoot out of them as you bit into them. One morning I witnessed a 400lb black woman walking around the lobby, halls, and breakfast area with her boobs hanging out with nipples showing as well as part of her crotch. I was appalled that the staff allowed her to walk around like that. One staff member actually had a smoke with her out front. I literally had to throw my breakfast away. A friend was eating dinner 10 miles up the road and called the front desk for a cab number. The front desk clerk told her that she should just stay where she was because its too dangerous for her to be coming back at 1030pm to the hotel. Basically....i would pack a pistol if you decide to waste your money on this hotel. All in all, i was SUPER upset that I had spent $390.00 at this hotel. I would have expected something "Suite"-er than the whole in the wall that I got.

“Very good stay”

After having left another Choice brands hotel about an hour earlier because of worn mattresses, I was pleasantly surprised to find this room very comfortable. The front desk lady was very helpful, and for what it's worth, quite attractive. I got an upgrade to a suite without asking although I don't see the need to place a "kitchen sink" 5 ft away from a bathroom sink and a microwave oven on side of it and then call it a "suite". That is a lil absurd for my money. Anyway, the room was comfortable and quiet. Just what I needed. Thank you.

“Bring the Lysol and a your own sheets...”

We stayed for one night at the Comfort Inn in Harvey, Illinois. Of course, this is not a 4 star hotel, however, we paid $89 for our room and hoped for better. Although it was a nonsmoking room, there was a cigarette burn in the spread, there were burn stains on every lamp, the appliances were from the 1980's, and the bathroom/kitchen was not clean. The tub was disgusting, so we showered with towels on the floor of the tub.

On a positive note, I can say that when we needed towels (the towels were used already when we arrived), they were quick to bring them up. In addition, there was a continental breakfast which was nice to have.

My advise-keep your very standards low and DEFINATELY bring your own disinfectant spray!!!!!

“Don't Stay Here!!!”
1 of 5 stars Reviewed 5 July 2010

Absolutely one of the most disgusting hotels I have ever stayed in. The carpets were gross; the curtains/sheers had stains; the lighting is so low you can't see anything; scratchy sheets and dirt and dust everywhere! This place needs a major overhaul inside and out!! I saw so many unidentifiable stains in the the bathtub and on the floor that there was no question that I would wear my flipflops during the entire time in that room! Don't believe the hotel's photos! This place needs a major paint job and a complete renovation of every single room! The air conditioner unit was so loud that we got no rest and I can't even tell how disgusting the filter was in the unit. I don't think anyone has vacuumed it. The bedside lamp shades are peeling on the inside! Yes, it is easily accessible from the freeway but it is not worth having a bad night's sleep. Owners renovate now!!! I am told that the Comfort Suites across the parking lot is a lot nicer but definitely investigate before you book!!
