I was a little worried when I saw the exterior of the hotel, it wasn't bad run down or anything, but it was a white stucco box. The interior/lobby was clean and well maintained, the check in with the manager was pleasant, he was very professional and courteous. The room was clean and the beds were comfortable, my wife appreciated the towlettes supplied to remove makeup. The free breakfast was above average for free hotel food. We were snowed in the morning of our deparure, some of the employees appeared to have hard time getting to the hotel due to the weather but the parking lot was plowed in time for our exit.

Very Comfortable. The outside of the Comfort Inn looked a bit worn, so I was somewhat worried, but it goes to show..you can't judge a book by it's cover. The staff was friendly, and helpful..the breakfast there was DELICIOUS..the rooms were clean and tidy. It was quiet at night and extremely restful. It is situated next to the Gurnee Mills Mall which was a nice option..but surrounded by a host of wonderful restaurants and directly off I95 which takes you north and south to wherever you want to go. There was a newspaper at the door each morning and clean, fresh towels if you asked for them. I couldn't have been more pleased. A very nice experience.

I'm not sure what hotel the previous reviewer stayed in, but I don't think it's the same hotel WE stayed in. The Comfort Inn at Gurnee is a GREAT place to stay! Breakfast was great, rooms were very clean. Any staff member that I encountered was very friendly and helpful. One of the managers even took time to come out from behind the desk (even though he seemed very busy) and give me detailed directions on the large map in the lobby. Pool and spa were very comfortable and clean. All and all, a great value for the money, considering the service we received. Will certainly come back again and tell my friends and family as well.

This hotel is located right across the parking lot from the mall so it was convenient for shopping. We coincidentally got to deal with managers when we didn't get the rollaway bed we requested and then had questions on our bill. Let me tell you, both of their customer service and attitudes were lacking. I couldn't imagine what the normal employee attitudes are like. Luckily, we truly are an easy to please group, and just needed a place to sleep. Not sure I would say the place was clean. We did find a dead bug in the sheets. The complimentary breakfast had more choices than you would typically see, but once again it came down to whether an emloyee cared enough to replenish supplies. (For example, every coffee thermos was empty. Seems pretty basic). Stay here if you are not picky and get a good deal. Otherwise, it might be wise to look elsewhere
