It was a nightmare from the very start. They are located on a very busy section of Grand Ave . Due to traffic congestion it took about 10 min to get into the parking lot. We called ahead to see if they had internet access, they lied and said yes . We found out that only internet access was in the lobby. When they gave us our key we found out that our "fantasy suite" was in a different building not even connected to the property. The room we reserved was called A Touch of Class. I don't consider a barely cleaned room with towel racks half hanging on the walls "Class". The jacuzzi tub was large and would have been fantastic to soak in if we could have turned on the water. One of the handles was broken off and we couldn't turn on the water. We got back in our car and drove back to the front desk immediately. They said pick from another room that showed on the wall. We picked Cesar's Palace. The room and jacuzzi was half the size and filthy. We found empty water bottles and the carpet didn't looked cleaned at all. The stand for the TV was placed so that it was hanging at least 4 inches over the mattress. The TV only got 3 channels . So, it was back into the car trip #2. When we complained, they said we could have the Penthouse suite or the Gazebo but , we would have to pay about $100 more a night. We were ready to get in the car and drive the 300+ miles back home. They finally said they would not charge extra. We chose the Penthouse. At this point we were already working on 2 hours of trying to straighten out this mess. We found out that the TV in the previous room wasn't messed up, They only had 3 channels. "We are switching between Dish and cable and they haven't gotten to that building yet." When we checked into the room , the tub worked and , they had a bed. We were so tired that we didn't care. Upon further inspection of the room we discovered broken loose marble tiles on the steps of the jacuzzi , the furniture was in terrible shape . there is only one drawer that we could use , the remote didn't work even when we changed batteries , the light bulb for a light by the bed was out. The next morning we woke up and , its a good thing that i brought my own coffee . The in room coffee pot was filthy. We went up to the front desk for their "deluxe continental breakfast " was nothing more than white bread for toast, cheap no frills muffins and coffee or juice. We headed out for the day. When , after a day of running around, we finally got back to the building where our room was it was snowing and we had food we wanted to get inside while it was still hot , our key card wouldn't let us in. We had to go back up to the front desk to get another one. At this time I was told who won the NASCAR race earlier that day . A race I could have watched if we had more channels than CBS, HBO Signature and, TNT. The final day of our stay, our actual anniversary , we went out and when we came back around 5pm we found that the maids hadn't been to our room . I had to get in the car , go back to the front desk and, get my own fresh towels . I was told "The maids take public transportation and , due to the weather couldn't come in " Funny thing is , when we left early that morning , the roads were completely clear and we saw buses running . Even the sidewalks were clear . The stress and hassle of the weekend ruined our anniversary! The web site pictures were misleading . The staff was incompetent. I wouldn't recommend this place to my friends. I wouldn't even recommend it to my enemies! I almost forgot, the faucet handles in the bathroom were not labeled and reversed (hot on the right , cold on the left) and on the morning of checkout, I finally looked up at the bathroom light to find dead bugs in the cover ! Norman Bates ran a better motel !
