My husband and I stayed here for the weekend to go to Great America for fright fest. The "lobby" stunk! The "continental breakfast" was some nasty muffins. The room was dirty looking, the towels were stained, the shower and sink was all cracked and dis-colored. They came to do the house keeping at 9:30 in the morning and kept knocking on the door til we answered, there was no do not disturb sign to put on the door. The bed was rock hard, we were so sore when we woke up. There were some seedy and unsavory characters that hang around the hotel. After all this the MANAGER had the audacity to keep knocking on our door 10 minutes prior to check out, demanding that we leave! This was thee most awful experience we've ever had at a hotel! I would suggest staying somewhere else!

Dirtiest, stinkiest, nastiest place we've ever stayed at......Avoid at all costs!!

I stayed at the Econolodge tonight. Absolutely horrible experience. I asked for a non-smoking room because I can't stand the smell of cigarettes (didn't know it was a smoking facility till i got here) and the whole place smells like an old ashtray. The top of the toilet tank is broken in 3 pieces, the shower has yellow stains all over it. The person at the front desk said they didnt have any single rooms available, so i got a double. Good thing because i went to climb into a bed and there was a huge yellow spot on the sheet, so i went to the other one. The pillows have yellow stains, there are smudges on the doors like they've been kicking them, the carpet is gross. Only good thing about the place is wifi in every room. Please don't give these people your money, you will absolutely regret it.

We will never stay at an Econo Lodge again. The rooms, hallways and refrigerator stunk. The bed was just like sleeping on a floor, the hallway had a nasty stinch and we couldn't use the refrigerator because it had an awful smell as well. They would only give us 1 bath towel at a time for 2 people. I wouldn't recommend this hotel for animals let alone people. We would have rather slept in our car!!
