I saw the bedbug review just before our departure. I immediately got on the phone with the General Manager of the hotel. He was very helpful. They DID indeed have a problem in 436, it did not spread to any other rooms and was immediately exterminated and checked/rechecked over a few days. He was more then happy to discuss my concerns over the phone. I urged him to respond to the review so others will not be afraid to stay at this hotel. It can happen anywhere and it's unpleasant, but if the hotel deals with it appropriately it should not be a problem for visitors. Everyone should be checking the bedding and headboards for signs of infestation before getting into the bed. If you are worried contact him via phone, the name and number is on your confirmation.
The room itself was a 2 bedroom suite, very large for our family of three. It's like an apartment. A kitchenette and sitting area is very nice. Beds were comfortable and plenty of storage space. No maid service on weekends unless requested earlier on Friday. The heating/cooling system did not work great, it was either too hot or too cold never seemed to regulate at the correct temperature. Also you could hear the rooms above or below through the vent system. We had a screaming baby in our range that went on for hours. The breakfast was ok, nothing great. The workout room was useful, but they could use some wipes to wipe down the machines after sweating on them.
All in all it's a decent place to stay and I would not be afraid of the bed bug situation in this case.
