We have been coming to this hotel for 4 yrs now with our family, All the staff seems to be the same which is very nice to see the same faces. Clearly this is w well managed hotel and we have told all of our friends.

After having a good experience with a 3 night family stay at the Staybridge several years ago, we chose to come back for a 2 night stay this year and found the quality largely unchanged. The three of us shared a 2 queen suite because the larger 2 bedroom suite was not available, but we still found it more than comfortable without feeling cramped. Hot breakfasts were provided each morning with a good range of choices including the obligatory waffle maker (but why can't any breakfast buffet include plain yogurt anymore?). Even better, on weekdays a light snack is offered in the early evening that is usually a light meal (e.g. chili dogs) or appetizer (cheese sticks) but also include green salad. If you're a light eater it can serve as dinner, but most would likely consider it appetizers. WiFi was provided and had decent speed.

The room was clean and comfortable. We had to ask for housekeeping service the first day although the info provided stated that light housekeeping (bed service, towel replacement, and trash removal) was to be provided on weekdays. The staff responded quickly to this request and was generally helpful throughout our stay.

This probably isn't an ideal location if you'll be spending most of your time touring downtown Chicago as it's a good drive from Chicago and a bit of a drive to freeways. However, if your general destination is the northern suburbs as it was for us, this is a great location and better than the other options we considered in the area. The hotel is in the middle of a large shopping area so there are plenty of surrounding services. If you looking for a good desert, I'd suggest Pinstripes just east of the hotel, but don't get scared off by the bowling alleys and bocce ball courts when you enter; there is a good restaurant there.

Great stay, quiet secure and fairly priced. Spacious room and comfortable bed.
The Fitness room is oddly placed seems like it was an afterthought an uncomfortable to use.
Overall great hotel of this type.

The hotel was completely full when we stayed for a 4 night visit to Chicago. (Surprised no recent reviews).
Staff was average to friendly at the front desk. Breakfast buffet was just as described - good to get you started for the day with a nice variety (oatmeal, bagels, fruit, yogurt). Walk was approx. 10 min to the train station. Safe area with a nature preserve across the street. Room was nice for travel with our teen: living area with tv, kitchenette, 2 beds in other room. Bathroom was a bit small and no door between sink area and bedroom. I rated cleanliness a 3 - it was fine. Beds were clean and our request for linen changes were completed.
Pool was quite and nice. Gym facility / laundry area was clean.
No problems with allergies inside the room - due to previous pets inside.
