“always a great stay here!”

this is a nice, quiet and smaller hotel in the chicagoland area. all the staff are very pleasant and helpful. i have stayed here several times and i always get great service. anytime i need directions or something extra they are willing and dedicated to helping me with anything i need. this hotel is in a great location close to the highway and there is much to do around the area. the only problem is the pool is under construction which i would love to be able to use. i usually come here for business but this time i stayed just to get away with my husband. we rented a suite which is a larger room than i normally rent when i stay here, which also have flat screen tvs that i love! the rooms here are very comfortable so even when your far away you feel like your at home. i enjoy staying at this hotel and love the friendly staff, i will be back again!!

“Nice Hotel, Great lobby & Banquet space”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 28 October 2011

first of all when i booked my hotel, I was going to a wedding unfortunately wedding was cancelled but i still went with my wife just to get away, we don't live far about 40 Min's so i thought we would just have some alone time. when i checked in vennassa was very nice and helped me check in. the lobby looked great my room was OK the good thing was it had a jacuzzi and flat screen TV, room its self needs some TLC but is still decent. after a great night alone with my wife we had breakfast, it was very good and had a lot of items that most places i stayed didn't have, i mean they had meat item, eggs and waffles most places only have one of those items. since the wedding was cancelled I thought i didn't get to see what banquet looks like but when i walked by the owner i forgot his name nice indian or pakistani man showed me the banquet, it was very nice, i thought he thought i was interested, but he said "if you know anyone who looking to throw party let me know ill take care of them" so he knew i just wanted to look. very good hotel, will look at this hotel anytime me and my wife want to chill out very affordable and will book here for 2013 for me and my wife's 20 year anniversary. The best thing they let you fill out TripAdvisor right there they encourage you no matter what, the homepage is TripAdvisor on there guest computer.

Room Tip: rooms on third floor are quieter...and if you need any help just ask front desk they respond quickly...

He also gave me some food from the party he was cooking for. Anytime I come from Detroit I'm staying here, great location off of 355

“booked this hotel through southwest airlines”
1 of 5 stars Reviewed 29 September 2011

We booked this hotel through a package we had through southwest airlines when we booked our flight. It was closest to the retirement home of our grandfather we were visiting.

Negatives:
1) elevator closest to the reception desk was broken the first two nights. when we checked in, the attendant did not tell us there was another working elevator on the other side of the building which was closer to our room, neither did the sign on the broken elevator indicate there was another functioning elevator.
2) Workout room is under construction!
3) Pool is under construction!
4) Both of our room keys stopped working on the 2nd night so we had to get them replaced.
5) All the attendants at the front desk do not smile or say hi when you pass their desk or pass them on the grounds.
6) We left our towels hanging in our room to dry yet they were rolled up still wet when our room was tended to.
7) Our shampoo and conditioner was not replenished on the 2nd day when our room was made up.
8) Holes in our sheets and sweater type "balls" on the blankets!
9) Complimentary breakfast was DARK and EMPTY at the time we were told it started and when we were eating, it was being cleared 30 mins before the time we were told it ended!
10) Carpet and walls thorughout the facility are tattered, worn out, and dated.
11) Leaks in the ceiling in the lobby had several buckets catching the water.
12) Stains in the bath tub in our room.
13) Another group in our party who paid the same rate has a fridge and microwave in their room, ours did not.

Mental note: No more reservations with any Ramada hotel =(

I want to say we here at the Ramada feel bad for the stay you had at the Ramada, We take alot of Pride in having our guest stay in clean and comfortable rooms, when i read your review I was really mad and did full inscpections of our hotel, unfortanaly at that time we did have a rain storm come through and power outages so our elevator did not work and pool heat was down that could be one of the reasons they were closed, I hope you do consider us again we can more than make up for the last time. Thank you!

“Great wedding, great people, great hotel”

Wow! I can't believe all these bad reviews on here. My wife booked our wedding her and I thought after I saw these reviews it was mistake but after meeting with the banquet manager(Chris) and one of the managers(fahid) I felt Luke they were looking out pre me. We booked a lot of rooms too and they gave us our private breakfast for our people, and gave us half off the front lobby bar, saved us a lot of money also he gave is ridw to train station when we needed it so we can go downtown and not have to deal with parking. The hotel furniture is dated but the room I was in had flat screens tv and nice room decor, once they spruce up the place its going to be awsome. The biggest reason I like them is there customer service they pay attention to your every need. My advise don't believe any of these bad reviews, there to one sided
