For those who are taking pets - contact hotel directly. I did my reservation by phone provided on this hotel site, but for some reason reached the BestWestern chain representative. He said it would be Ok to have your dog in a cage for few hours while you go out to ski, and also conformed few other nuances for me with this hotel. When we arrived to the hotel, it appeared they were not agreeing to this. We end up NOT skiing at all because we had to take a dog out of the room with us. Manager or customer service by phone did NOT want to do an exclusion because of their representative mistake, and did not do a refund.
Some hotels do allow dogs in a room in a cage, so we will be booking those hotels next time.
Another thing - 1) our room was right next to the reception area, and at night it is hard for dog to not bark at people who are checking in/out in the hall 2) you can use only one door at the end of the hotel to enter with a dog which is located on the opposite side of the pet-friendly rooms. I did not like that because you need to pass all other people with children and bags while you reach this door 3) also many rooms have balconies on first floor for easier outside access which could be handy if you have a dog, but not in this case, These rooms in the hotel are not dog-friendly. You need to put your clothes on, and go through this special side door of a hotel and then walk back in 4) also no special place outside the building for walking your dog, just parking lot...
Room Tip: In general rooms are spacious, nice mattress, nice housekeeping and breakfast.
