We stayed one night in a suite with a whirlpool and fireplace. I was surprised by the modern and well decorated feel of this hotel. We were a little concerned that there would be lots of little kids and noise because of the waterpark in the middle of the location. Since we were on the top floor and toward the end, we couldn't hear a thing.
The main reason that I am not giving a perfect rating is due to the dining experience. Hot food was not quite hot, there is no ice in the dining room and they were only using one waffle maker while we were there, which caused us to have to eat one at a time.
Overall, it was a lovely experience and we will be back to give it another try soon!

My kids loved the waterslide! For the price we paid this place was pretty good.

Our weekend stay made us feel very comfortable and welcomed at the Galena, Il Country Inn. The staff was very pleasant all the time and I believe it's because of the leadership there. The Front Desk Manager, Jessica, always has a smile and she talks to you like your her friend. The other associates also treated us the same way. We really enjoyed our stay and will be back to Galena soon and will stay at the Country Inn Suites.

Love this hotel! My husband, little girl and I have stayed here numerous times. But this time i travel there with some of my best girlfriends. We had two suites next to each and they were perfect. The bedroom was separated from the living room with a doors so it worked out great for those that wanted to sleep later then the rest. There was table in the living portion of the room that were were able to play euchre at. Richard was on staff both nights and was most helpful and kind. The free Breakfast was great, we saved money by not having to eat in two. This is the only hotel i will stay at in Galena, i know that there will be not surprises when i a, stay at this hotel!
