“Convenient and clean”

I researched the area for a weekend stay. I chose this motel based on my findings, and found the reviews to be very accurate for this Comfort Inn. I believe it is the best value in this area. The location was very convenient for travel on the CTA Blue line into Chicago. (We drove 2 miles to the CTA lot at Rosemont from this motel and paid a small fee to park and take the train into the museums downtown. Parking downtown is very expensive, and a hassle to do. I highly suggest taking the train to save money and time.) This motel is a bit noisy due to its proximity to the street, but not annoyingly so. The breakfast is typical for Choice Hotels. They had waffles, along with eggs and biscuits and gravy for the hot items. The staff was extremely friendly which was is always refreshing! The pool and hot tub were very clean also. Our room was clean and didn't look aged, and everything worked properly. We used points to stay and didn't get put next to an elevator, ice machine, or the laundry! The closest restaurant is a couple blocks away, so it may not be the best choice if you have flown in and want something right next door. Wifi worked correctly too. All things considered, I found it to be a very nice stay. I would go back to this motel when in the area.

Room Tip: Ask for an even numbered room which will face away from the street if you want a quieter room !

“We stay here every year”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 11 August 2011

We have stayed at this hotel every year for about the past five years. We started staying here to drive up to the O'Hare airport for our winter getaway versus leaving in the wee hours of the morning as we have a three hour drive to Chicago. We like to get to the hotel just at check in time. Get our room and get settled and then head down to the Bella Vista Lounge for a few drinks before we order supper to take back to our room. They have a nice lounge where you can eat a very fancy meal but we always opt for the pizza or shrimp and fries and head back to the room to unwind before we have to get up in the early morning to get to the airport. Which is a breeze. We do the park and fly option. Which means we can leave our vehicle in the hotel parking lot the whole time we are on vacation and get it when we come back. They actually have a shuttle that leaves the hotel about every twenty minutes. And then pick up when we arrive back in Chicago is just as easy. This is a clean hotel with a very friendly staff. Those of you who are picky may feel it is a little outdated with a musty smell but for simple people like us it is perfect. Stay here if you are in Chicago and need to do the park and fly - YOU CANNOT BEAT THE VALUE OR PRICE!
I cannot really comment on the pool or other services as we are there for such a short time. Another nice thing is that if you are too tired, arrive too late from the airport, or the weather is too bad to drive home you can usually get a room the day/night you arrive back to Chicago and stay until the morning.

Room Tip: Talk to the bartenders at the lounge. It is such a relaxing atmosphere

“Clean and decent breakfast”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 23 July 2011

Despite the fact that we had to stay in a smoking room due to our very late check-in, the room was clean and after a few minutes, we got used to the slight odor. The hallway of the smoking area, though, was awful. You felt like you'd put your head in an ashtray as soon as you walked off of the elevator. The room was freezing when we got in as the AC had been set real low. Despite turning it up to 80 degrees, it still ran about every 10 min. The breakfast was decent (hot and cold both). The lady at the registration desk was helpful, even though she must have been tired. She was at the desk when we checked in at midnight and again when we had breakfast at 9 AM.

“A hotel that was totally unexpected”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 15 July 2011

We stayed at this hotel and had an absolutely pleasant experience, Raffi was excellent and very helpful. Our room was way nicer than expected, we used the hot tub almost every night.
Our room was always tidy when we came back and nothing was ever disturbed. Huge bathroom. The only minor complaints were the water pressure, and the elevator was kind of scary on the decent to the first

“Nice hotel for one night”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed 27 June 2011

We needed a hotel close to O'Hare for an early flight and I had a free night stay so we stayed here. The room and hotel common areas were clean and the front desk clerk was very nice. We chose the park and fly option, which worked out well. The van was prompt at picking us up in the morning and only took about twenty minutes to pick us up later in the week so we could come back and get our car. The main drawback of this hotel is the area. At night, it seems kinda shady and I wouldn't stay here by myself. There was not really any security into the building so anyone could have came in at night. The front desk clerk was nowhere to be found after we checked in. So this hotel was nice for one night, but I wouldn't choose it for a longer stay.
