Not a thrilling hotel but standard for Fairfield Inn brand. Location is good for auto travel as it is right off the interstate and close to places to eat.

I was traveling to the St. Louis area and really did'nt want to stay at a hotel in the downtown area. I am a frequent Marriot traveler and after some research found the Fairfield Inn in Fairview Heights. After going onto Trip Advisor and reading some of the comments I must say I was a bit leary about staying there. After calling the property, the person I spoke w/was very friendly and gave me a GREAT rate. When I arrived I must say that I was dissappointed with the age of the property however the staff was INCREDIBLE! They were so friendly and willing to go above and beyond and breakfast was great. They changed up some of the options with a ham omlet or a pancake on a stick that was suprisingly good even though I had to microwave it. The hotel is close to the mall and plenty of restaurants which was great. I will definitely stay there again!

I am not that picky because I travel for business at least 3-4 times a month, and we always stay at a business travelors type hotel. I expect only a clean room, courteous staff, and safety. As other travelers mentioned, this hotel was not clean. Check in was fine, but the common areas were dingy, and the room looked unkept. It was late so we went to sleep. Upon waking in the morning, I found 3 roaches in my bed. You can imagine my disgust and surprise, so I went to the front desk looking for resolution only to find that the hotels general manager thought I was a liar, did not give me another room, refused to refund the prepayment for the upcoming night, and asked me to leave the hotel property. I was appalled. I will NEVER stay at this hotel again, and if you don't room with roaches at home, and wouldn't like to start when you travel, then don't stay here!

I am a Platinum member and do not normally stay at Fairfield Inns; however, it is the closest Marriott to Scott AFB. The hotel is dingy and the rooms are small. The parking lot is shared with the Hampton Inn. Breakfast is free but limited and served only with plastic products. Two good things: the housekeeper was nice and it is close to many restaurants. Overall, I was dissapointed and will not stay there again
