I have never stayed overnight so cannot speak to the quality of the rooms, but will say that the meeting facilities, restrooms, grounds, and foodservice are EXCELLENT! We have regional meetings here frequently, and I have enjoyed my experience here every time!

If you are here in Fairview Heights, make sure you eat at Lotawata Creek, the restaurant is one stoplight south of the hotel! GREAT FOOD!

On check in we were told they were having problems with their card swipe door locks. An employee escorted us to the room and let us in. Until they got it fixed someone was assigned to each floor with a listing of who was in each room to assist the guests and ensure security. Problems like this can occur at any hotel, but few could have handled this as well and as painlessly as the Sheraton did.

We had one of the "suites." The front sitting area was separated from the bedroom by the bathroom. There was no door, but the arrangement did provide some privacy and worked well during our stay. For a party of two the room was spacious with a mini refrigerator, microwave, work desk and office chair.

The buffets at the hotel were good, but with the dining choices available with a short drive, we usually went elsewhere except for breakfast.

We witnessed none of the trash or cleanliness issues others have commented on.

Our conference organizer could not stop singing the praises of the attached conference center staff.

For people visiting the Arch or other St. Louis attractions it is much cheaper to stay in the Illinois side. Most people avoid the East St. Louis area and stay either in Fairview Heights or Collinsville. This would be a good choice.

The free wi-fi was very good, minimal log on hassles, and a good data rate.

I've stayed at this hotel four times in the last six months, usually a very pleasant stay. However the last two times I was there the hotel was very shabby. On my most recent trip the staff was nice, but my room wasn't very clean when I checked in...drink rings on the night stand, hair in the tub and missing tissue paper- I spoke with the front desk about this and they did send someone up to reclean the room. Horrible night's sleep, heard the snoring of the gentleman next door, called for ear plugs, but the didn't have any. Stayed two nights.

After I returned home I noticed clusters of itchy, raised, red bumps on the left side on my face, the same side I sleep on. Over the next week days more bumps sprang up, in rows of three or four, all over the face. I was traveling alone on business, but no one in my family had similar bumps anywhere. I looked up symptoms online and they were consistent with bedbugs. Totally grossed out I called the hotel to speak with the general manager, but I got voicemail and left a message. NEVER GOT A CALL BACK. Tried calling again, but always got voicemail again.

Very disappointing, because I did like the hotel and staff. I will be in the area again this month, but I can't stay there again knowing there was a potential bedbug issue and no one could call me back an address the issue.

Our room at Four Points Fairview Heights was quite acceptable. The ample space, comfortable bed, and other amenities made this a worthy stay. The trash in the hall ways and well worn lobby was less comfortable, but still okay. The part that had my family wondering was the extensive party (with lots of alcohol) in the small lobby over the world series (that's baseball) - less than family friendly.
