My wife & I spent 2 nights at the Corner Nest celebrating our anniversary. We were greeted by Sybiel, the owner & hostess, whose charm is superseded only by her down-to-earth demeanor.
The home is in a the quaint old European village of Elsah which is overwhelmingly charming. The room we stayed in was nice with a beautiful antique 4 poster bed & a claw foot tub in the restroom.
The breakfast is bountiful & if you leave the table hungry, you have no one but yourself to blame.
My wife & I have stayed in several B & B's and this ranks among the top for it's "bed & breakfast"---HOWEVER what makes the Corner Nest TRULY special is Sybiel. She has a charming German accent with which she will regale you of stories that are interesting, funny, charming, sweet and anything you you care to feel. I honestly feel as though my wife & I made a friend during our stay feeling that if we and Sybiel lived closer that the women would CERTAINLY be close friends.
Go for the atmosphere & old world charm that is Elsah & Sybiel---and then stay for a great breakfast!
