The motel was clean and large room. Close to walmart and other shops. Nice for overnight stay when taking a long drive.

We stayed at this motel because we needed a place to stay for a few hours (at 2 in the morning). We were on the way to Indianapolis, but we had to stop and get some sleep. Seeing as this was the most inexpensive option presented, we went ahead and stayed here. The room was clean, as was the bathroom area, so no complaints there. The beds were terrible, and the air conditioner sounded like a locomotive idling beside our room. The only good thing the air conditioner did was mask the sounds of the motorcycles and assorted people outside causing a stir at this late hour. The motel shares its parking lot with restaurants on both sides, one of which is open all night. In short, if you're on a budget and don't have any lofty expectations, this is a fine choice. Given another opportunity, I would have to stay elsewhere.

If you are traveling on I-70, this town is your only overnight option in the center of the state. Unfortunately, most of the motels are all clustered in a very bright and noisy end of town. I guess all the properties share this problem.

This property did NOT have a discount available for booking online, as most other Motel 6's do, but there's a 10% discount as a walk-in. (??) It was about 10.00 higher than all the other Motel 6's I stayed in this week, even with the special rate.

PROS: Very friendly check-in. New bed linens. Clean bathroom with nice, clean tub. Table for eating at in addition to the desk and chair. Starbucks and Steak N Shake share the same parking lot--great for dinner and morning coffee.

CONS: Advertised a donut breakfast. No donuts in the AM--just coffee and a crabby front desk person. (Other motels offer free breakfast and their rates are cheaper). VERY NOISY in the morning. Parking outside door, so you could hear cars idling and doors slamming from 5 AM until we left at 8 AM.

If you're traveling with a dog, the area is very busy--lots of cars, asphalt, etc. But there are places to walk the pet. Be sure to keep the dog leashed. It would be easy for a dog to get out the first-floor door and into the very busy parking lot full of activity.

We stopped off at this hotel while traveling home from Chicago. The hotel is new (or the rooms have recently been renovated). Our guest room was clean and comfortable. The shower was very nice--hot and lots of water pressure! The hotel even boasted of a small outdoor pool which was nice for our children after a day of travel. The gentleman working the desk was friendly and helpful.
