Briefly here are the pros and cons
Pros:
Staff - I've been in 5star hotels with worse service
Pool - was heated (desk clerk said it was 80 degrees, not quite a hot tub but close enough)
the Freebies (breakfast, 24hr coffee, internet, fitness center, business center, and parking all free)
HUGE TV - with HBO, Showtime and all the normal stations.
The Bathroom - Granite counters, hairdryer, and a heat lamp... it might look funny but it makes it nice and toasty when you get out of the shower.
Price point - $73 before discounts like AAA or Senior rate.
Cons:
Age - the carpet does need cleaned in some spots and some of the wallpaper is peeling, but for the price I'm not expecting it to look like the Ritz.
No hot tub (unless you get one of the suites) - Not necessary but nice to have
Locked TV's - Anytime I wanted to plug the Xbox into the TV they had to come down and type in a code. (but after about 4 times they just told me what it was)
Overall I'm very pleased with the hotel! The staff was nice, the ammenities were great (especially for such a low price!) and the location is close enough to STL to be useful, but far enough to get free parking and not have to worry about all the traffic.
