Had stayed twice before in the same room. Asked for this room and was told it was not available and was given a room that had a water leak in the ceiling and down the wall. Looked awful. Actually the entire property inside looks bad. Needs to be updated. On the second day of our stay, I asked a different Desk Clerk about the room we had wanted and was told it was available both days we had wanted it. I have no idea why the other Desk Clerk said just the opposite. The good part about this place is that we never hear noise from the inside or the outside. The bad part is that there is not one place to eat that is close. When we left, there was landscape work being done outside. Hopefully they will start doing something to the inside.

We were in the area for a funeral and stayed here for 2 nights since it was right next door to my mother's apartment. This hotel needs to be completely updated. The wallpaper was peeling, the carpet was dirty, etc. But the worst was the shower!!! The shower did not work!! The first morning, I was able to get a drizzle of COLD water to come out of the shower and ended up washing my hair in the sink. I told the front desk about it, and they said they would fix it. The second morning, the shower wouldn't come on at all!!!! So I packed my bags and walked to my mother's apartment and took a shower there. We are requesting a refund!!!!! We will NEVER stay here again. If I were you, pop for the extra $30/night and stay around the corner at the barnd new Hampton Inn!!!!

I came to the area to visit my sister at Southern Illinois University. The hotel was very close to the college. The rooms at this hotel are very clean. This was a very good hotel for the price. The other two hotels in edwardsville were way too expensive for my budget. This hotel offers alot for the price. The breakfast was very good too. They had alot of choices. The coffee quality was good too! I will come back in the fall when i visit my sister again!

Stayed there for 2 nights because we were in the area for a wedding. I went to college in Edwardsville and remember when this place opened in or around 2000. The room that we stayed in really needed to be updated. Rooms were quiet and the free breakfast was nice BUT the front desk workers (college students) were rude and forgot to set up a wake-up call that I specifically asked for (in person at the desk). Parking was convenient but make sure you do not miss the entry drive to the hotel as it is located in a funky place. There are great places to eat in the area and the Comfort Inn is located 5 minutes from SIU-Edwardsville and 20 minutes from downtown St. Louis.
