The cleanliness of my room was average, probably even less than that. I would have two main complaints about my stay. One was the mattress, the best comparison I can make is to a bean bag chair. If you need a firm mattress, this wouldn't be for you. My other complaint would be that I saw the people at the front desk let some people just wander into the lounge area in the middle of the afternoon, apparently to use the hotel's internet access and have free coffee. That probably happens more than just here, but there also seemed to be too many people who were "hanging out" near the front door and in the parking lot. I didn't feel as safe as I would have liked knowing that there are obviously many more people around than just those paying for hotel rooms.

Pleasant, friendly staff - Clean room - Convenient location. Nice complimentary hot breakfast included. Only slight issue was that the air conditioner was a little loud clicking on and off. Don't let that stop you from staying here. I'm going back to Chicago next week and staying here again!

The Holiday Inn Express Downers Grove, IL is very clean. The beds are like cotton candy. The free hot breakfast was good. The staff was friendly and knowledgable of the area. There are plenty of shops and restaurnts nearby, There is a computer in the lobby for use. The expressway is near making car travel easy. The only bad thing was lack of a swimming pool. The rates are great as well saving visitors lots of money to spend in chicago.

When we checked in, Santrell took excellent care of us. She was very friendly and helpful and made us feel welcome. Rooms were clean and smelled fresh. We called down to the desk for extra towels. It seemed like two minutes after we hung up, the towels were delivered to our room. That's super service on their part. We would definately stay at this hotel again.
