I was in Downers Grove due to a family member's medical emergency. The hotel was very close to Good Samaritan Hospital. After spending my first night in the hospital waiting room, I called the Comfort Inn. They were so helpful, allowing me to check in early and maintain an open ended stay. They directed me to local restaurants and shopping, plus provided all the toiletries I didn't have time to pack before I left home.

The bed and bedding were very comfortable, with four fluffy pillows on each bed. There was also a reading area in the room, and a small dining table and chairs. The TV worked very well. The bathroom was clean and the shower was really nice - lots of hot water and good water pressure. The Wi-Fi worked perfectly in my room. The complimentary breakfast was mainly pastries and bagels but they did offer waffles, juice, coffee, yogurt and fruit. It was enough to get you out the door and keep you going until lunch.

The Comfort Inn is a clean and comfortable place to stay. They treated me like I was in a 4 star hotel, at a 2 star price. I'll be back next time I need to be in the area.

It is difficult to access this hotel but once you find out where it is off the main road you will see how convenient to Midway Airport, shopping, great restaurants and Al Capone's grave site it is!!. The rooms were clean and comfortable. The front desk staff were helpful and I would like to commend them for their honesty. I left my camera in its case sitting by the computer while printing out my boarding pass and someone picked it up. When I realized it was gone we were already at the airport. I called the front desk and they said they had it there. I spoke to the manager, Gabriel who held it for me till I could arrange for Fed Ex to pick it up and send it to me. The batteries and the extra memory card were still in the case and the camera made it back to me safe and sound.

Clean room, central location, and reasonable rates. Pool was closed, which was a disappointment.

this hotel is in a great location. having said that, it is in SERIOUS need of a remodel. the carpet in the room was filthy, and I mean dirty, brown dirt on dark blue carpeting. bathroom had rust-colored formica countertops and peeling wallpaper. breakfast was not great, and not re-stocked, even with over an hour until it ended.

there was also a bloodstain on one of our pillowcases...

hotel is a good value, and i didn't see any bedbugs, but it is old and crappy inside.
