“Extremely rude employees - choose elsewhere”
1 of 5 stars Reviewed 4 January 2008

Customer service reps at this hotel made it clear that they were unwilling to accomodate our requests just because we booked with Priceline. Not only that, but she was downright rude. I also find anyone working at the front desk with bright pink hair and multiple piercings to be unprofessional.

Priceline only guarantees a room will sleep two people, which us understandable. However, I have never had a problem requesting a room with two beds any other time I have used Priceline. Even though there were clearly rooms with two beds available, they gave us a difficult time with upgrading and charged us a fee. They were unwilling to work out any other upgrade options with us, despite our willingness to pay more, because we had used Priceline.

For the same reason, it was nearly impossible to get enough towels and pillows for our group. Rooms were stocked with two cups, and the front desk staff refused to provide us with more. They also were unable to provide us with maps of the area or CTA routes/schedules. The hotel room itself was cramped, and nothing special. It would have been fine if not for the other issues.

I would never return to this hotel, even if it was free. My money is better spent on places that respect my business, regardless of how the hotel room was booked.

  • Liked — It was nice having a full fridge in the room
  • Disliked — Rude, unaccomodating staff and inadaquate facilities

“25$ taxi from O'hare to this non airport property”

Late arrival prompted us to book this so called airport hotel. It is 5 miles away from the airport and a 25$ cab fare. There is no shuttle bus. You may save in the price of the room but you will definitely pay for the taxi. Don't believe it when they say Extended Stay O'hare.

“pleasant room, nice decor”

The front desk staff was great in accomodating our request for a king bed and a room on the ground floor. The room was nicely decorated, and had a sofa sleeper and recliner. Wireless internet was an add'l $5 for the entire stay. The kitchen area was nicely appointed with a toaster, microwave, apt size oven/stove, and a full size fridge. Dish soap was availalable on request at the front desk. Continental breakfast was offered on weekdays, and had hot cereals, pastries, breads and juice. The toaster didn't work right, burning everything if you forget to check it, however we solved this problem by taking our breakfast back to our room and using our toaster there. The lack of daily room service (as is typical of any extended-stay typer of hotel) was not a problem for us. We were able to park our vehicle right in front of our window. This is considered an "airport" hotel, however we did not hear any air traffic in our room.

We stayed here to escape the high cost of staying in the city. The room was half the price as downtown hotels, and parking was free. We were in close proximity of the Rosemont train station, which had a park and ride for $3 a day. It was about a 45 minute commute by train to downtown, and public transportation was fairly user friendly.

“Ill-mannered Manager”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed 11 November 2002

Stayed here many times and rooms are reasonable. However, the manager, Greg W., is very unreasonable. I asked the clerk if I could speak to the manager, who wasn't available, but she called him on the phone. Before handing the phone to me, the clerk explained that I was a regular customer who wanted to speak to him about a concern and Greg REFUSED to speak to me. Greg spoke to the clerk fro 10 minutes but would not address me concern. A manager who refuses to talk to a customer does not deserve to run a business. Very unprofessional.
