First, the good things: gloriously warm pool, nice staff, pretty good location, and free but slow wired internet in rooms. Nice lobby, but you could be at any Courtyard - they really do all look the same.
Not so good: we paid extra for "free" breakfast and I was expecting the usual buffet, which is great when you have two small children who are picky eaters. Instead, we got "The Bistro." I think they must have been understaffed (at least I hope this isn't the usual pace of this place), because the service was painfully slow. A single staff person took the order, made the food, served the food, and dealt with the bill. There was a line every time I needed something and I think there were only about 10 people in the whole restaurant at any one time. Also, at the Bistro, there are restrictions about the kind and amount of food you can order for your free breakfast. Makes sense, but irritating when you are expecting a full buffet and no waiting. I found myself trying to help the server/cook/cashier manage things by telling her how to prioritize her tasks. The following day, bistro opened an hour late because the staff person was late. Reception staff got my kids some dry cereal. Not what I expect from Marriott.
Room Tip: Highway is very noisy. Ask for a room facing the courtyard.
