If cost is your only consideration than this is the place. It was fine 30 years ago, good 20 years ago, OK 10 years ago but now it is the cheapest place to stay in Decatur. On trying to check in they had a new clerk that didn't know how to operate the computer and no one else was around. The location is find but some guests stay up all hours of the night. I couldn't tell you if I did or didn't feel safe; I just knew that I couldn't stay more than one night. If you are reading Trip Advisor than likely this isn't the place for you.

The room was FILTHY!!! and smelled. My son noticed a dead roach in the comforter that had been there for a while. The pictures that you see on there web page is a LIE!!!....I was scheduled to stay two nights there. But when I got up the first morning, I was walking outside the room and what behold.....the maintance man had a bucket of bleach washing blood off the side walk, where if thou somebody had been either stabbed or shot.....a lot of blood all the way down the sidewalk...When I questioned staff about all the blood everyone seem to have amnesia......It was horrible and I cancelled my next night stay and left.

The front desk tried to convience me that Oh it probably was a fight from the bar that they have on location...I explained to her I was here in town solo with my kids and I just didnt feel safe there...She insisted oh there are always fights at the other hotels also......Well to my pleasure it wasn't.........I learned a lesson ...It was a bought lesson.......You get what you pay for...sometimes cheap ain't always good....bye the way the pool had algea in the bottom of it (GROSS)...........Did I mentioned they lied the t.v. only get three channels and the screen do's not have good tracking, no refrigerators, nor any microwaves in the room either..........Worst then NIGHT MARE ON ELM ST.!!!!!!!!

We were so tired that we went there despite bad reviews- and at $50 it was the only place under $80 around that didn't have crowds of unsavory people in the parking lot. The room was dirty with a broken lamp but the real problem was the shower didn't work. I got dressed and the repairman lives in the motel so it only took him 20 minutes to come and 2 minutes to fix it

We spent this past weekend in Decatur for a bowling tournament. This was our 2nd year in a row at this hotel. We probably had around 10 rooms with our gang of guys. The rooms themselves are barely passable. The entire building badly needs repairs but the lobby itself is pretty nice, and the bar is pretty fun on the weekend we were there. The staff at the front counter seems friendly enough. They have karaoke both Friday and Saturday evenings. The drinks are very reasonable and the bar manager, Andy seems like a pretty good guy. The staff seems to hustle behind the bar, which seems necessary because each time I was in there it was very, very busy. This was a fine setup for a bunch of guys out for a fun weekend but I doubt I would bring my family to this place.
