I make many trips each year to Decatur, Illinois to visit friends and family and have adopted this hotel as my personal favorite. The hotel is recently updated with all the amenities, internet, pool, fitness center, free breakfast, etc.

What I think sets this hotel apart from the competition is the employees. Everyone I have encountered here seems to genuinely care about their guests. This is what keeps us coming back.

If you have the need to stay in the Decatur, IL area, I highly recommend the Country Inn and Suites. I've not been disappointed.

The way I judge a hotel is by the smell when I walk in the front lobby. This lobby was neat and clean and had a little bit of a bleach smell since the pool was close by. And the next thing I look at is the staff at the front desk. Dee was our point of contact and was very helpful and pleasant. Then the next thing I look at is what the room looks like when we first walk in. The room was neat and clean and I felt extremely comfortable with sleeping in the bed. The decor was not the latest greatest but it was well kept and homey! I would stay again with my family.

We have stayed at this same hotel one day in aug for four years now, and it is so pleasant to see that it maintains an excellent level of customer service every year. The rooms are clean, pool area is clean and functional, Staff is very pleasant and service oriented, We were talking to another customer in the hot tub and he said that he asked about cookies at the front desk, she said "everytime I set them out, they disappear so fast, you haven't been able to get to them", she asked where he would be and then tracked him down at the pool to make sure that he got his fresh baked cookies! The breakfast has hot and cold choices and is kept clean and full even with a full house. we will be back again next year!

My fiance and I recently stayed here for a friend's wedding - just one night. While it wasn't the most modern room, it was very clean and had a good amount of space; the bathroom was spotless. The employees were friendly. The breakfast was OK - what you would expect from a complimentary breakfast. My fiance loved the waffle maker; I just stuck with cereal. All in all, I would definitely recommend this hotel to friends or family. The price was very reasonable, and it had a good location to the area's restaurants and mall.
