My wife and I spent a weekend at the Doubletree on Ohio St. in Chicago in mid January.They had a nice rate going so we decided to take advantage of it. The hotel was nice and clean and met all of my wife's expectations.( Which meant that she wouldn't hesitate to stay here again).Most of you know about Chicago,so I'll just tell you about the surrounding's of this hotel. It's 3 blocks east of Mich Ave.and 5 blocks north of the river. There is a Einstein's bagel shop on the first floor as well as a restaurant.We parked across the street in a garage and saved $16.00 a night.Easy to get in and out of. There is a very nice full service grocery/deli/liquor store one block south.Nice Irish pub one block north.(Timothy O'Toole's)Spent most of our money eating and drinking on Hubbard St.Would look to stay here again if we could get another great rate.

This hotel is in a terrific location for shopping the Mag Mile, great restaurants and Navy Pier. From here you can walk to most downtown sights. What really makes this place special however is the STAFF. Although we only go there once or twice a year, they remember us and they are welcoming and very accomodating. The rooms are clean, upscale and quiet. The rates are very good. This time we called directly and got a wonderful rate.

This hotel is located ideally in Chicago for shopping and Navy Pier.The rooms are nice -- we were up on the 26th floor and didn't have to deal too much with noise or anything. Not a ton of water pressure in the shower, but that's minor. The bellboys were great help in getting cabs -- very nice and friendly.
Overall, no complaints about our stay.

The hotel is great! My wife and I stayed there this summer, so the review is a bit out of date. We stayed here three nights in the end of July. The location is fantastic. We were literally steps away from shopping and merely a block or two form the lake. We had a great view from our corner suite.
Rooms were nice, nothing special, but still nice. THe mini bar is a bit over priced, but that goes without sayings.
One of our favorite parts were the pool. Talk about a view! could see Sears Tower(aka WIllis). Just a wonderful place to stay. I pricelined it and got it for eighty bucks! we did not park here, others we would have been out 45 bucks.
