I would like to comment Connie Wilson for her hard work and positive attitude during breakfast at the Chicago Downtown Homewood Suites.

This was a business trip during which I had to share the room with an associate. Our suite was tow completely separate rooms (a door between the living area and the bedroom). The bedroom area alone (two doubles) was as big as most hotel rooms. The kitchenette was really a kitchen--as big as any kitchen in an apartment or small home. But we only used the kitchen for storing beer and snacks; hot breakfast was included and featured a lot of good choices. We also had a deal where parking included in our very affordable (for downtown Chicago) rate.

When my colleague kept waking me up with his snoring on the first night, I simple left the room, shut the door, turned the fold-out couch into a bed, and slept like a baby.

The Homewood Suites is two blocks north of the Chicago River, and two blocks west of Michigan Avenue--right in the thick of things and steps away from much more expensive hotels (like the Marriott and the Conrad).

This is our second time staying here and it's just as great as the first time. The breakfasts and dinners are terrific. The staff is incredibly attentive and extremely nice. The room is HUGE and lovely - it has everything you'll need on your stay. We're traveling with my grandmother and the handicapped accessibility is superb. She loves her stay here and so do we. Location is also great- so many things are within walking distance. Amazing value for your money and have recommended this place to many already.

Breakfast is nothing to write home about. While dinner is a nice perk, it's fairly bland. Maid service is sub-par.
