“Great little hotel - I'd rather keep it a secret!”

We truly enjoyed this hotel. The staff was wonderful, we received over-the-top help with organizing our metro transportation to various locations in the city. Our room was tiny but clean and comfortable. The hotel is small so quiet. It was a good price for this location but don't expect a large room for a value price. The small sized room was just fine with us.

“Old & dirty 2”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed 6 October 2010

Room was old & bedroom floor dirty. Carpeting fraying at edges & drywall cracked & bumpy in places. Surprisingly, bathroom was clean & towels were plush. Lots of noise from across the street even after 11pm. In window air conditioner prob. contributed to being able to hear outside noise. Could hear someone vomiting down the hall in the middle of the night. Needed to be close to nearby hospital so location was good. Employees courteous & friendly. Continental breakfast foods were fresh.

“Smaller rooms than we are used to!”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed 11 August 2010

One night in the city so we could go on a boat cruise along the lake. Waited till the day before, hoping for a deal. Expedia came through, one night for @ $60 less than their the hotel's usual price, and only $15 for parking!!! Still overpriced for the hotel, but hey it's Chicago and it's summer. The elevator was a hoot, tiny and the door closed slowly, each time.
Staff was very nice, helpful. Lunch at the weiner circle, 2 blocks away: that was great!!! 3 miles to navy pier, we walked it as the weather wasn't too hot, took our time, it was great.

“Rude Staff and Old Dirty Rooms”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed 22 June 2010

This hotel was underwhelming to say the least. The lobby was nice, but the carpets in the hallways were old and stained and smelled. The "non-smoking" room we originally were given was mildewy and smoky and they had unsuccessfully tried to spray a deodorizer. Even for an economy room, the spacewas extremely small, dank, dirty, and upset my allergies terribly, not to mention how dated it was. After trying to cancel our reservation for the night because my friend and I couldn't imagine staying in that first room, we spoke with the manager who agreed to let us stay in one of the "upgraded" rooms for the same price (still way too expensive). The upgraded room was slightly better - it didn't smell and the bed was clean. But it was far from comfortable. The person we dealt with at the front desk was also extremely unhelpful and unhospitable and we had to call. We had to call twice while driving around to find the garage for the hotel because she gave us such extremely poor directions. Do not stay here. A Days Inn is less than a block away and is much more clean and comfortable and the staff is much more helpful and friendly.

“Great Value for a Quaint Chicago Hideaway”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 15 June 2010

The Inn at Lincoln Park was a great choice for our trip to Chicago. Our group found the hotel to be quiet, clean, and full of character. It is hard to find hotels in Chicago that truly are a good value, so we will be sure to return. Parking at the hotel was cheap, and there were nearby residential streets that had spots, too. The room featured two bathrooms and two walk-in closets, which certainly came in handy. The staff was quiet and kept to themselves, but that did not bother us weary travellers. This inexpensive gem in downtown Chicago is a well-kept secret.
