For the price and the Sheraton name, i was not impressed. It's an older converted property that needs more updating. Convienient to the airport. Shuttle was slow. Beds were OK, good pillows. OK work area with good chair, but NO plugs nearby. Moderate road noise. bathroom was updated and was decent, had flat screen TV. Noisey AC unit. Overall an OK property, but the Sheraton name calls for higher standards than this and the nightly rate was no bargin.

This hotel is okay. clean with no frills. Okay for an over night stay. nothing fancy at all. just near MDW. Staff was good.

I was a little worried reading some of the other reviews, but this hotel turned out to be a great value (booked using SPG points). My room was very clean, updated (flat screen TV) and had a very comfortable bed. The only downside was that it is on a major street and the street noise was definitely audible, even late at night and early in the morning. I had a lot of trouble sleeping, partly because of the noise but probably mostly because I was nervous about my medical school interview the following day.

Tip: If I remember right, if you are a Starwood Preferred Guest member (free to join), you get put on the floor I was on that has nice rooms. I suspect those who complained about room quality in their reviews were put on other floors.

Spent 2 nights here during a training session for work. The training event was totally disrupted by other events going on in the hotel at the same time. Please understand that we were holding a education presentation while a very loud worship service/concert was going on in the next room. The front desk staff made it clear to us that it was not their fault. We found a resolution, but without much assistance from staff.
The room I stayed in was not well kept. The window would not latch & allowed a cool Chicago breeze to blow in all night. I didn't discover that until I had unpacked my stuff & it was just too much trouble to leave. Dirty carpet. I checked the mattress, it seemed newish, which was a big relief. When I tried to have breakfast delivered, nobody ever answered the phone - I made 2 attempts.
If you are needing a place to stay when flying out of Midway, this would work. I think there are better choices that are actually closer to the airport, as well. Unless Sheraton is planning a big renovation, I will find someplace to stay when I need to be in the vicinity of Midway. And if you are looking for training facilities, this is NOT the place.
