I stayed here to help celebrate my 40th with my sisters. It is in the heart of the hospitality center of the city and it was perfect! The location cannot be beat- river view, the staff acted like old friends, and the price could not be beat. The service in the hotel was fast, exceedingly friendly and perfect! I will be staying here again on my next visit! Plus the linens, shower and seperate bath- was such a treat- nothing like I would have at home!

I stayed for 6 nights at Hotel 71 for a conference. I would strongly recommend staying in a "river view" room. They have the best view of Chicago for a very convenient price! It is in the heart of the city and close to many places. But if you are looking for luxury and entertainment in the hotel (SPA, swimming pool, etc.), this might not be the ideal hotel. Yet if you want to discover Chicago and are looking for a comfortable place to stay, that is THE hotel you should go. I think my room was about 40-50 m2 and I had a King size bed! Breakfast is not included, but just on the corner there is a very nice place for both breakfast and lunch. If I go to Chicago again, I would definitely stay there!

My boyfriend and I have stayed in this hotel in several different rooms, the first room was a suite and it was fabulous, the second was one of the more expensive rooms with the most beautiful bathroom, very clean and very spacious. The third stay was just a regular room, and it was still very nice and spacious and clean, overall a great hotel to stay in no matter what your budget. There are also a handful of wonderful restaurants within walking distance, and the views from the hotel are beautiful as it looks over the river and other gorgeous buildings. It is near Michigan Ave. so great shopping is within walking distance as well.
