My husband and I stayed the night here last week (as well as the same time last year). We were just looking for a place to stay after a day of taking in the city. Ultimately we didn’t plan on being in the room for an extended period of time so it was really just a place to sleep.
Last time we were here, the floor we stayed on was under construction. With that said, improvements have been made to the rooms since our last stay. They did what they could with the space provided.
New beds and furnishings made gave it a more contemporary feel. My husband felt the carpeting needed to be updated, but I thought it was fine. It was striped so I think he felt that it was old, but I think they were trying to stay with the color scheme.
Last stay we had 2 double beds. The room and bathroom were more spacious overall.
This time we stayed in the king room, which was significantly smaller (I felt).
This hotel attempts to stay modern and contemporary. During this stay we found out that there is a rooftop patio which would be fun in the summer months. Also, the lobby bar was hopping as we headed out for dinner.
The walls are very thin. We were out pretty late, but you could hear complete conversation of people walking in the hallway at 2am and which TV program they were watching next door.
Would we stay here again, YES for a place to spend the night, but if you are looking for luxury this is not the hotel for you.
